My name is Shelly Alexander AKA , a Seattle based general photographer. My gateway into photography has been as a retouch artist, a style derived from art and cinematography, based on light & shadow, contrast, hues and tones, developed with the teachings of my parents. I like to think of it this way, I am married to retouching; my mistress is photography.

Education: 1 year at the Art Institute of Chicago (while in 8th grade) major Fine Arts (yes I took a short bus to school)
Auburn University major Architecture
Self taught Photography with the help of Nikon School.

What do I want to do with my photography: There is nothing more Romantic and Mysterious then the Noir and Pin up styles. My hope is to rekindle this vision into a modern and marketable art form. Combined with my love of Kustom Kulture/Punk/Tattoos and piercing with my passion for Noir and PinUp, I hope to shake up what the general public calls art.

Who is/are my most inspiring photographer(s): Patrick Hoelck - a classic Noir lighting photographer (nuff said).

Interested in: Working with creative new people who will help me expand and reach my goals and expanding my Portfolio. Plus-size, Glamour (Noir), Fashion, pin-up, Kustom Kulture, punk and Retro models.

Looking for models that are willing accept TFP/TFCD and wanting help with portfolio development. For the moment but when there is a paying gig I will pay for your time (upfront).

I am in the process of building my portfolio so I am looking for stylists, and make-up artists to work with as well.

If you are looking to add new photos to your portfolio, keep this in mind: There are a lot of gorgeous models out there to photograph and more than enough photographers out there to take photos of them, often resulting in images that viewers will move away from, forgetting them as they would an involuntary heart beat.

The relationship of the model and photographer should ideally be that of a muse to Creative Director. Minds working together, feeding ideas, teaching and resulting in a very creative fluid captured moment that will stimulate mind and soul.
